If you enjoy seeing ruins, you would like Lamanai, Xunatunich and Altun Ha. There was a lot of walking at Lamanai. Xunatunich was great to see. Since you have teens with you, maybe you should consider cave tubing. You inner tube down a river and you go through a couple of caves.
