Punta Cana (Paradisus) in July?

After much contemplation my husband and I just booked ten days at the Paradisus in Punta Cana beginning of July. (I chose this hotel over the IB's in Romana and Punt Cana. We wanted luxury but not something so commercialized. I saw a large plastic igloo in the water at the IB Hacienda, for the kids to climb on and it was a real turn off. That and the fact that they trucked in sand to make the beach). *** Any tips or insight re: what to expect at the Paradisus would be appreciated. (What room. building, dinner tips, getting around, staff, anything that will help make our trip more enjoyable) *** Any tips on what to do? tours, rent a car, etc.? *** Also, any idea what the weather is like in July? The 4th is my birthday and we are very excited, but are a little nervous about such a long stay in one place. Thanks in advance!! . |
