Thanks for the info, Chilly. As far as accomodations, we're not too fussy. A nice, clean room with enough space, light, and A/C for the money would be perfect. We'd like to stay at a place with a nice pool and services, but we're not looking for the Ritz in terms of prices for rooms/food/etc. How far from the restaurants, bars, etc. would you say Belizian Shores is? It sounds like a nice place. Our ideal hotel is usually ~1-2 miles from stuff to do. We don't like to stay right in the middle of cities, but it's nice to be close for a walk or taxi ride to eat at restaurants or go out for the night. Is it very rainy in July/August? I checked the average rainfall for the year after writing my first post and noticed that it's their wet season. I know it's tropical and expect some rain, but we might re-think our decision if it's monsoon season. And last, we plan to dive. I'd imagine that the diving |
