There's a list around someplace (BritishExPats?) that would be my first source of places to investigate. BUT I suggest you do as you should when moving *anywhere*, go there first. The place perfect for me could be pergatory for you, and vice versa. I'd boil it down to a short list of places, perhaps a dozen, then go there for long enough to see what it's really like. Some places will eliminate themselves immediately. Others won't show their ugly side for months -- the rainy season, for instance. In addition, a spot only a few miles down the coast may be perfect, so you should be talking to ex-pats in-country as you do this. That could create a second short list. |
