Tamarind is one of the bigger hotels on the West Coast of Barbados. With over 100 rooms. It is not one of the best hotels but is quite a comfortable property. Part of a group calling itself Elegant Hotels. It had a necessary soft furnishings upgrading last year. Part of the hotel/next door is the very chic "The House" - a minimalist hip style property. Has a couple of reasonable restaurants (Sasso & Tangiers). Guests also have signing facilities at Daphnes (same as the Sloaney restaurant in London) but it is not part of the hotel's meal plan. It has 2 or 3 pools, a good stretch of beach and a couple of cocktail bars. One good thing about Tamarind Cove is that it is pretty close to some other bars and restaurants - an easy walk. Also usually quite a lot of young children so if you have kids there will e company. At Easter, Christmas (and summer holidays I blv) they offer a supervised kids' |
