Great ideas from Guy. St. Croix will be a bit difficult to do within the limitations of a cruise ship stop. Tortola is iffy, too, because there are only a few ferries; if you miss it , you've missed the ship. Otherwise he sounds like THE expert, and I'm saving this memo since I plan to do a visit to the USVI on a land vacation in the next couple years.
