I read a very interesting article over last weekend that indicated that the suicide rate out west/midwest is much higher than in the northeast and west coast because: 1) culturally western people think it's a indication of weakness to seek help for mental problems 2) isolation/boredom 3) guns So even if the air is supposedly better out west people aren't as happy as you ignorantly believe. The other interesting thing about that article was the map showing suicide rates across the country. |
