I'm afraid I don't know what a brick lug is. Is that the part of the
foundation that the brick or stone sits on?
Is this a code violation?
Thank you.

Murray Kupersmith - Screened-in Patio Enclosures
- I live in South Florida and my screen enclosure has survived
Hurricane Wilma (all others around me collapsed totally), with
some "minor" damage. The construction uses aluminum extrusions
(2 x 6 uprights, 2 x 6 joists, and 2 x 3 stringers?).
I would like to stiffen the entire structure, any recommendations?
Thanks,
Murray

tbasc@bellsouth.net - Re: Please comment on contract and experience
- You mention possible advancement in your job.
That means you will be working steadily and giving a bit of extra time
to the job.
This is the wrong time to take on extra responsibilities.
I say this based on personal experience.
As Phil Scott notes, there is a super heated housing market which may
cool down.
If I were in your place, I'd put off the building project.

reply top posted for yer convenience.
We are in a housing bubble. Paying todays prices as business
in the US is due for a long low pass .. a decade if not a lot
longer, is not a completely wise move, unless you are 100%
sure your mother company is bullet proof and that you will be
advancing...then its still risky.
costs may well drop back to the 120 dollar pre sq ft l...

"voluntary"? Can I ignore it when I do electrical work? If you're saying
the state is acting voluntarily, that's meaningless.

"Nehmo Sergheyev" - Re: NEC 2005 Handbook
- Ed2k links don't work that way. You have to have eMule or some similar
app; there's a few. You can get eMule from
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1&rm=download
The setup is complicated, but accepting the defaults (notice where the
files will go) will work fine. Read the FAQ pages; post questions to
one of the P2P forums, or post to news:alt.internet.p2p
