Joe asked some very interesting and pertinent questions, and he is justifiably concerned. First, I think he made a very wise decision in selling when he did. If he did in fact make a %300 profit, then he did very well and shouldn't look back. It's like the stock market-it's never a wrong decision to sell and make a profit, that's the whole point of investing! As for Real Estate, it is a very localized thing. I sell Real Estate on Long Island, NY. Prices here have gone through the roof here in the last several years. Part of this is because there is so very little in the way of new construction out here, thus making demand outstrip supply. Existing home sales far exceed those of new construction. We are running out of land upon which to build, so older homes prevail in my market. I encounter buyers almost daily, and many say they are going to wait until prices fall before they buy.
