Hi Pam,
To get into real estate, you should have at least 6 to 9 months of
reserve to sustain your lifestyle. In addition, be prepared to spend
about $3,000 in the first few months. Everything cost money up front.
DRE fee, fingerprint scanning service, Risk Management fee, MLS
access, business cards, brochures, postcards, flyers, postage, open
house signs, stationery, training and mentoring (big bucks), lockbox,
electronic key to unlock lockboxes, website...... The list can go on
forever, but I think you get the idea. It usually takes 6 to 9 months
to get up to normal speed. Good luck.
