The village itself suffered heavily from the Plague outbreak of 1665 and the village museum dedicated to the villagers bears testimony to this. The 17th century manor house of Eyam Hall is found in the village, and Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are a short drive away. Bakewell (home of the famous puddings), the elegant spa town of Buxton and the mysterious caverns of Castleton are just a few of the local places of interest.
On the ground floor the cottage has a beamed living/dining room with a well-equipped modern, fitted kitchen area (step up from the hall), plus a twin bedded room and a room with bunk beds. There is a shower room with WC.
