Relax and enjoy the view over the garden to the countryside.  There is a private entrance opening on to your own deck so that you can come and go as you like.

A full breakfast is served - on the terrace surrounded by tui and bell-birds on sunny mornings.  At night you might enjoy a walk to the falls with Bernie and Carol to see the glow worms; on the way the night sky may show brightly and you will see why our galaxy is called "The Milky Way".

At The Ferns is close to Lake Rotoiti which is linked to Lake Rotorua by the Ohau Channel.  The Kaituna River drains Lake Rotoiti - making an exciting exit with rapids and then over the Okere Falls.  This is a popular stretch of water with sledging, kayaking and several commercial rafting companies. Take a walk and there is a good chance you will see some action!
