Modern romantic house for rent on a mountainside in the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Terraba River delta. Here you can delight in the daily presence of toucans, scarlet macaws and families of howler monkeys. The two- story, private, gated estate is located across the road and up the mountain from Playa Ventanas, a virgin black sand beach surrounded by rocky cliffs and natural caverns that have formed tunnels through the mountains to the sea. The enchanting home is nestled in ten acres of natural rainforest with an array of exotic flora and fauna, including tropical fruit trees, spectacular jungle wildlife, incredible butterflies, and a rolling river.

The newly built house is 3000 square feet with air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. The house has three large bedrooms. The upstairs master suite has wood vaulted ceilings and a fabulous outdoor covered deck overlooking the Pacific, complete with a hammock and a outdoor teak wet bar. Relax in the king-size bed while viewing a breathtaking sunset or lightning storm over the Pacific. Master bathroom has two large showers and a sunken tub and double vanity.

Downstairs guest bedrooms each have full-size beds and spacious bathrooms with double vanity, large sunken tub/shower and walk-in closets. All rooms have spectacular views of the jungle and the ocean. The house has hardwood ceilings and hand-made wood doors and cabinets. Large modern kitchen opens up to the spacious dining and living area. Kitchen also has a pass-through window bar for eating by the large tiled swimming pool. Arrangements can be made for a driver to get you to our house in your vehicle. It is recommended that you have a four-wheel drive vehicle; it gives you the most options and you will appreciate it if you plan to do any exploring.

Maid service and pool cleaning provided once a week. If you would like more frequent service it can be arranged prior to your stay for a nominal fee. Grocery shopping and personal laundry services are available upon request. Costa Rican caretaker lives on property and a English speaking property manager lives on the mountain to assist with any of your needs.

The house can be divided and we can rent the downstairs only for a lesser price than the entire house. The downstairs consists of the 2 large bedrooms, 2.5 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room and swimming pool. If interested, please email me, and I can quote you a price.

We also have accomodations available in the surrounding Playa Ventanas area and in San Jose. The San Jose condo is a new fully furnished 3 bedroom/3bath, complete with swimming pool, playground, covered parking and it is a gated community. The condo also has a driver available who, for a fee, can pick you up at the airport.
